Higher or Lower: the countries game

Does Chile or Greece have more people? Which is bigger, Portugal or Hungary? See one country’s number and guess whether the next one is higher or lower. Population, area, life expectancy, wealth and forest, with World Bank data.

How to play

  • You see two countries. The first shows its number; for the second you say whether it is higher or lower.
  • When you are right, the second country moves up and a new one appears. In No mistakes, the longer your run, the closer the numbers get.
  • In the Daily challenge, each right answer is worth 100 points, plus up to 50 for speed.
  • The figures are the World Bank’s most recent (mostly 2024 and 2025). Wealth per person is GDP per head in US dollars; density is population divided by area.
