Eight opponents with a face and a temper, rated from 600 to 2200. Play with a clock, review your game with every mistake and the best move at each moment, and climb the rating ladder.

How it works

  • Pick one of the eight opponents. Each rating is approximate and gets tuned as games are played.
  • In a rated game there is no undo and no hints, and the result moves your rating if you have an account. In training you can undo, ask for hints and see the evaluation bar.
  • Afterwards, the review walks through the game move by move: best move, inaccuracy, mistake and blunder, with each side’s accuracy and what you should have played.
  • Full rules: castling, en passant, promotion, stalemate, repetition, the 50-move rule and loss on time.
  • Every day there is a new puzzle, easier on Monday and harder on Sunday, plus endless puzzle practice matched to your level, with its own rating.
